27.10.15. A trip to New York with Tepee
My most recent and adventurous sofa to date, Tepee, made its way to New York last month. Originally introduced at SCP's Sofa in Sight exhibition at The London Design Festival, September 2015. The exhibition is now on show at The Future Perfectshowroom in Manhattan's Bowery district. I went to New York to take part in a talk opening the show, hosted by The Future Perfect founder David Alhadeff. Also on the panel were SCP's Sheridan Coakley and designer Matthew Hilton. The color palette for the exhibition was selected by David Alhadeff.
Tepee sofa is now available to buy in the United States through The Future Perfect.
21.09.15. New products at the London Design Festival
I'm proudly launching three new products at the London Design Festival this week and if you're doing the rounds and want a closer look the dates and locations are below.
A third sofa for SCP
Inspired by the simplicity of the hammock, Tepee explores the structural, formal and tactile qualities of industrial canvas as a new component in sofa construction.
I was thrilled to be asked to design a sofa for SCP's Sofa in Sight exhibition alongside established designers, Michael Anastadides, Konstantin Grcic, Faudet-Harrison, Matthew Hilton, and Terence Woodgate. Sofa in Sight is an exhibition that explores ideas in modern upholstery making through six sofas by six designers.
New dressing table available to buy
Perch is a compact and utilitarian makeup table with an extra large mirror and minimal storage features.
After designing to date for internationally recognised furniture brands, I am excited to be launching my first self-produced piece of furniture. Perch is hand made to order in the UK and can be bought directly from me here in my studio. Viewings can be arranged by appointment.
New work for Joined+Jointed
Aponi is a range of furniture with primitive form and hand crafted, decorative elements. Inspired by my travels in South America.
After discovering Joined + Jointed earlier this year I am delighted to be the eighth and most recent designer to join their team.
